Configuration » Accounts: Account News Mail
User may send mails to local SMTP server
If authentication is enabled for local mailserver (either by SMTP-after-POP3 or by SMTP AUTH), this setting determines, if the user is allowed to send mails.
This setting determines, if the user has a POP3 mailbox on the local mailserver. Accounts without a POP3 mailbox can't receive mails from/by Hamster.
This setting defines, which specific mail addresses belong to this user account.
Mails for any of the addresses given here, either received by local SMTP mailserver or distributed by "addaccounts" rules in MailFilt.hst or auto-distributed by the appropriate POP3 server option, will then be assigned to this user and placed in his mailbox.
Multiple addresses may be given here - they have to be separated with a single space-character, e.g.:
john.doe@provider.one jdoe@provider.two
It is also possible to assign a "catch-all" address in the format "*@domain" to one account (i. e. a single star "*" in front of the "@"). This account will then be used for any mails containing that domain and for which no specific address is found:
john.doe@provider.one jdoe@provider.two *@the-does.com
If any account is selected here, any mail for this account is forwarded to the selected account.
If any address is given here, any mail for this account is forwarded to the given mail address.
Note: Only one address is allowed here. If you need more, you have to use a mail list instead.
If a Distribution List is selected here, any mail for this account is forwarded to the members of the selected list.
If any of above forward settings is given, this setting decides, if a copy of forwarded mails should be kept in this account (marked) or should be removed after forwarding them (not marked).
