Menu item "Edit: Add From Newsgroups" is used to load newsgroup messages from NNTP newsservers.
Loads articles from marked groups and adds them to the database.
Stops loading of articles.
If checked, the Message-ID of each loaded message is searched in the database. If it is already in the database, the message is ignored.
Note: Should only be deactivated when loading an initial, large number of new articles.
FtFind stops after the given number of messages were loaded for a group.
FtFind does not preserve the original format of the articles but converts them to a text. This text starts with the body of the message followed by the most prominent headers at the very end of the text.
FtFind currently has problems with some (rare) malformed messages, e. g. with a bad character encoding. In such cases, an error message is shown in the log and the download for that group stops at this point. The bad message is marked as "done" in this case, so the next download will start with the message following it.
FtFind currently loads each group separately and does not group downloads from the same server.
